BELOW ARE JUST A FEW OF THE MESSAGES WE HAVE HAD.

Just wanted to say how much we enjoyed your set at Rhodes rock on Friday. Made the holiday for me!! Really hope you are going to come back next year. Will also try and get to one of your UK gigs before then. Thanks guys Annette Hunt J
Saw Viva Santana at Rhodes Rock 2011 in Lindos, you guys were fantastic, what a great set, when are you coming to Scotland? Steve from Edinburgh
Fantastic show at The Beaverwood Club last Thursday. Don't take my word for it, take a look at my YouTube vids instead. Peace & Love Keith Europa: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3JZxePhR4To Dance Sister Dance
Just been to my first ever viva santana gig and it was such an amazing event. I was totally blown away. Having come across classic and modern santana duets, i decided to go to the gig on a whim - leading to having THE best musical experience i've EVER had. I'm a total convert. Loved it.More dates soon please guys - I must see you again asap!!
I saw your show at the Stables last night and it was fantastic, I have seen you five times now and each show is spectacular.I was very luvky to see Carlos Santana play at the O2 earlier this month playing a lot of covers from his new album and I can truly say that you bring the essence of his music alive. Great chatting to you after the show, Anna-maria.
I have been a Santana fan for many years but only heard of Viva Santana 6 months ago and have now seen them twice. Last nights gig at The Stables(30th Oct) was superb and made up for not being able to see the real Santana at the O2 earlier this month. Fantastic! And my 85 year old mother hasn't enjoyed herself so much in years! Definately a band for all ages,as there were a few young kids there who seemed to be really enjoying it too.- John, Luton
Saw the band for the 3rd time on Saturday at the Stables Milton Keynes. New keyboard player is a big improvement, and the lead guitarist sound and accuracy seem to get better every year.
Great gig in Bromsgrove Oct 2nd. Was suffering from a bad back and a cold but the energy, music, and general enjoyment lifted my feelings (almsot as much as the Guiness after!!). Come back soon - will definitely come again for another gig.
Absolutely fantastic show, this the 3rd time we have seen you, and each time it gets better and better, nice work guys, see you again soon xxxx 2nd October The Artrix Bromsgrove Worcs xxxx
What a fantastic night we had at The Artrix, Bromsgrove on 2 October. It just gets better and better, This is the third time we have been to your concert and this was just the best keep up the good work guys see you again soon xxxx Ron Sandria Carol and Stuart xxxx
We came to see you at central studio Basingstoke 2 years ago, was thrilled to bits to find out that Viva Santana the greatest band I've ever heard was coming back on saturday 25th Sept. Family and friends came with us , we are all of mature age group. However your music made us feel young again. The music is incredibly soulful and just makes you want to get up to sing and dance. It was a brilliant evening!
fantastic show at the Boom Boom Club come back again soon
We saw Viva Santana at The Grove, Dunstable last night - amazing! I'v played my Supernatural CD since I returned home and I have to say it doesn't sound as good as what I heard last night! I will certainly see the guys again.
Wow at We saw Viva Santana at Tring yesterday 3/9/10. Dare I say on par with the real thing and sound just like them! The band had a real energy about them and I loved hearing all the old classics eg Dance Sister Dance & Europa. A great way to get a Santana fix in between Carlos' visits to the UK. Will definitely see the band again.
Excellent at St Albans Festival 27 June 2010 - Well done lads thoroughly enjoyed it
Just got home from your St Albans gig. Lovely stuff - when you played "Europa" I was 18 years old again! At that time I was on the entertainments committee at Leeds Uni when Santana played their UK tour. We paid £2000 for them! We had NEVER paid so much for a band before (We had to charge TWO POUNDS A TICKET - Outrageous!). Our previous record was paying £1500 for Paul McCartney & Wings. Thanks for letting me re-live my youth for a couple of hours.m Club come back again soon
The best tribute band in the whole wide world. You just got to see these guys. They make you so happy, happy, happy.
Thank you guys for a brilliant evening. We thoroughly enjoyed every minute. See you next time.
Bob, Jane & Vanda
AWWWESOME!!! May i be the 1st (in 2010) to congratulate you guy's on an totally awe inspiring breath taking performance.... I was at the Robin2 last night (27th feb)and was lost for words,it was if i had put on and played a SANTANA LIVE cd at full blast...timing was air tight, playing styles was 2nd to none, vocals, breaks, solo's you name it..it was all there in full effect.I take my hat off to Eddie 'guiro' Mcguire ha,the 'new kid on the block' who was described as the 'rooky' by carbon copy of Carlos Santana himself Marcos Rodriguez when he had to do a conga solo, maaan i'm sure i counted 4 pairs of hands hitting those skins. Certainly not an easy feat to mix it with such an professional set of muso's by any standard.Viva Santana delivered 'THE GOODS BIG TIME'!!!!THANX.Peace 'n' Love!!!! Mark 'Bubba' Lewis.(Hall Green,B/ham).
Great gig at the Robin last night, much appreciated by a long time Santana fan, drummer and percussionist. Keep feeding the Fire!!Regards,Graham Lightfoot.
WONDERFUL gig at the Stables last night. I have seen you many times before but this was definitely the best.Everything sharp and tight. Looking forward to next gig as ever !
Absoultely brilliant at the Stables on the 24th Oct 09. Very loud Notch it down a bit please to keep people coming back. Chris
Seen Twice..at Hemel Hempstead.. your Brilliant
Many thanks for doing the gig at the MS Family Fun Day at 'Ye Olde Red Lion' last night, you were excellent as always. I know you guys got involved through tragic circumstances and we are very grateful for you getting involved at such short notice. Look forward to seeing you at Dunstable on October 9th, and hopefully at the next MS Family Fun Day next year if you are available (date to be sorted). Anthony Styles ChairmanWest Herts Branch MS Society
Love your music - ages since you've played in Scotland.
Hi guys...Bill Medhurst here, came over to Letchworth last Friday, had a greay night, you guys still ROCK!!! Thanx Sedge for saying hi to me and my daughter Francesca, she loved the show. I must say your new keyboard player was superb...thought I was hearing C.T. hahaWe are definately coming to the gigs at the grove, Dunstable and the Stables, MK in October....Love, Light and Life...One of your oldest fans....Billy.
I saw VivaSantana at Joe's Garage in Whetstone, North London, March 2009. Each member of the band played with such ferocious, burning, explosive, passionate energy, I thought they would catch fire, and spontaneously combust. The massively complex rhythms, played with piercing, forceful clarity, sent me into an emotional trance. They were on fire. This band delivered beautiful passion and fire direct to my soul. With raw, burning, electrifying attitude.
Derby Flowerpot-wow-blown away ! Guapa !,no,Guapissima !! Muchas Gracias, amigos.
Europe’s no.1 tribute to the music of Carlos Santana wowed a packed ‘Pot crowd with a South American-style musical fiesta full of the guitar-legend’s super-slick Latino licks. Classic albums Santana I, II and III, Abraxas, Caravanserai and the outstanding multi-Grammy, award-winning and diamond platinum Supernatural all featured in a percussion-packed, pulsating two-hour magical maelstrom. This sensational six-piece had the entire room on their feet from note one with an infectious interplay of keyboard, bass and every kind of percussion known to man, all perfectly complimenting the amazing Marcos Rodriguez as riff -king Carlos on his trademark P.R.S. (S2). A quite beautiful rendition of Samba Pa Ti quickly followed by a sizzling, sensational She’s Not There! were for me the highlights of the first set. Then the heaving crowd just went crazy as the Supernatural spearheaded second set took off. The band reeled off Taleo, Corazon Espinado, Maria Maria (with Black Magic Woman and Oye Como Va thrown in for good measure too) as Marcos’ flying fingers spellbound his audience with his very own blend of Hispanic hypnotism. With a note perfect, extended version of multi-million selling single Smooth as an encore, VS. left the stage, the crowd in full party mode crying for more. Blues, rock, latin and jazz-funk fusion of the very, very highest order. As they say in Spain, when something comes together which is of a unique quality and beauty – Guapa! Actually, make that – Guapissima! Review Barry Martin, Derby Telegraph & Raw Promotions Reviewer
Hi. Saw you guys last night at the Flowerpot in Derby. Thought you were superb – 6 very talented musicians. The last band we saw play live with such accomplishment was Dire Straits!! Don’t leave it so long till you come back to Derby. Thanks for a great night, Julie and Steve Harbon.
Thanks for a brilliant gig at the Flowerpot,Derby, what amazing musical talent,"VIVA SANTANA",Thanks again,Lynne.
Saw Viva Santana at The Horns in Watford last night - fantastic!!!!!!!!!
Great night at the Artrix again..It's true what they say Viva Santana is the only band to see. Come back again soon from the volunteers behind the bar.
We came to see you for the 2nd time at the Artrix, Bromsgrove, 29th Nov 2008, what a great night, as it was last time we saw you. You are all lovely guys and fantastic musicians. I'd even say better than Santana themselves, who we saw this year at NEC, Birmingham. Just Great.
Elo Marcus, Just a note to say what a brilliant show at the Grove Dunstable, I was unable to make St.Albans but will be watching out for your next tour. All the very best Chris Burrows.
Just been to see your show tonight at Queen Mary's in Basingstoke and you were fab. M Taggart
We were at Central Studio Basingstoke Saturday and thought you were all brilliantly talented. Have been playing your cd everyday since. Was fasinated by the instruments. Hope it isn't too long before your in the area again. Colin, Geraldine, Laurie & Barbara
Just wanted to drop the band a quick line to say how much we enjoyed the gig in Basingstoke on Saturday night. Having seen the band at Marvellous Festival in the summer, I really wanted to catch you guys again and Saturday did not disappoint. Great venue and a great sound. I'm currently enjoying your live CD in the car, which has lead to some strange looks from other drivers, when stuck in traffic (air guitar and bongos behind the wheel!) Was especially good to have a brief chat with Cliff after the gig as well. You guys have definitely found some new fans too - I took my parents along and my old man was very impressed. Samba Pa Ti took him back to his youth! Cheers! Kev Durkin.
Hi marcus great show at the grove (dunstable) last month see u at st albans all the best mick Dockree
Please give this message to Marcos and the guys. Me and my brother came to see the show on Saturday at The Maltings Art Theatre. As long standing fans of Carlos and his music, we were completely blown away by the show, even though we had prepared a little by watching the videos on My Space. You replicate the sound of one of the most individual and complex bands in the world, perfectly. Many thanks as well, for signing our album sleeve notes out in the bar. It rounded off our evening perfectly. We will definatley try to come to another show in the new year. Thanks again. Andy Cooper
I experienced Viva Santana for the first time at the Stables, Wavendon on October 24 2008. It was the best live performance I have ever listened to, and witnessed. Having loved Santana since my college days, I never thought that their unique sound could be so professionally and authentically replicated. That Friday night was a happy, happy, evening. Gillian Ranson
Haven't seen you guys for a while but you were even better than ever last night at the Stables.PLEASE get a gig near leicester soon.
Excellent performance (again!) at The Stables last night. Come back soon, but can we have the full version of Taboo (please) next time? One of my fave Santana songs from possibly their best album (3rd), even though Carlos himself didn't like it.Regards,Neil.
17th October at the Roses Tewkesbury it was a fantastic night I went with my brother who was equally blown away thank you so much will definetly go to another concert. I bought the CD and all the band signed it was great. I took my 85 year old mother for a drive around the cotsolds on Sunday and we blasted it out what a treat for us both many thanks for making our weekend. Gayle Rimell
A great big thank you for making it back to the Wharf in Tavistock last night and giving us yet another fantastic evening to enjoy. It's true to say that from the opening number through to your encore you give a brilliant performance and we shall always hope that you guys can make this venue a regular annual event. Paul & Angela.
Hi Guys,Having seen you about 3 years ago in South Wales I have been tracking your web site as to when you are going to come west again, The nearest you have been is Tewksbury last night, after driving up the M50 like a madman to get the 80 miles from work I was not disapointed your performance was awesome. It has everything I enjoy about the music & I know the crowd in the Roses also thought you were brilliantThe energy in your performance was fantastic.I hope I dont have to wait another 3 years to see you again.regards Bill Davies
WOW! were front row at The Roses, Tewkesbury tonight. - FANTASTIC! The music of Santana gets right to your soul and you live right up to it. Please, Come back soon :)
I saw the band for the first time in Worthing, the other night and like many other posters before me have been a Santana, fan since Woodstock ’69, and have had the privilege of seeing Carlos, perform in person on the few occasions he’s visited GB over the years. As for you guys, having read all the positive reviews posted on this site (which is excellent by the way!), what can I say that adequately sums up your performance that hasn’t already been said? For me, you managed uncannily to maintain the accuracy, authenticity, spirit and original sound of the “master” and having looked forward to the gig since the beginning of the year and I was certainly not disappointed. And, whilst Carlos, himself has seemingly moved on to other projects and has left those early days behind him to some extent it’s great that you guys are out there playing and keeping the earlier stuff “alive” and fresh and perhaps introducing new fans to this exciting and infectious musical genre.Whilst I realise the choice of material is a difficult one an expansion to the set list to include one or two tracks from the “Inner Secrets” and “Marathon” albums would be nice. Have I said you were Brilliant, Awesome, Fantastic yet? I’m really looking forward to seeing you guys in Bromsgrove, in November, and Wolverhampton, in the new year! David, Worthing.
I was front row at High Wycombe and it was fantastic. I love the Santana in Mexico DVD from the 90's and this performance took me right there. I will now take all my family to see them in Tring on 1 Nov.
Came to see you at Worthing last night ‘’Fantastic’’. It was my first gig and boy did I enjoy it. It was amazing how all of the instruments geled together to make a true Santana sound. Thank you to you all for signing my friend’s and my cd cover, we are going to take them to School to show all of our mates. I have been playing the electric guitar for 2 years now and I can play Carazon and Maria (on my PRS custom 22 ten top). Seeing you has inspired me to put in the extra effort to learn to play more Santana songs. Mum and Dad really enjoyed the gig and we hope to see you again in the very near future. Thanks again for a great memory of my first gig, Keep on rocking ‘’VIVA SANTANA’’ from Luke Courtney (aged 10).
Excellent night at High Wycombe Town Hall. It was packed as people realise how good you guys are. Do come back soon
hi guys nice to see your back on the road again wowing us all with the great mans music and sound.would be nice to see you back playing in the watford area but if not we will catch up with you in another area (well worth the drive) regards kev n mazz xx
Saw the guys at Shalfest last weekend, absolutly brilliant!
We havent been to a live gig for years and found ourselves by convoluted means at Shalfest 2007 last night. We were blown away with your set. Absolutely fantastic!! We have been fans of Santana forever and couldnt tell any difference between You and the original. We took lots of photographs from the safety rail. Looking forward to seeing you at the next gig. Bought the T shirt and the CD. Well done guys, we love you. Phil (52) & Sarah (44)
Hi Guys, thank's for a great evening at the Acorn Arts Centre, Penzance. We thoroughly enjoyed your music and look forward to your next visit to the westcountry. Had a long chat with Colin, great guy. Richard & Trish
Having seen the band two years ago we went to see you for the second time at the Wharf in Tavistock on Saturday 9th June and were once more blown away with your brilliant performance. In my opinion you couldn't wish for a better night out and we just hope that you'll always manage to take in the south-west on your future tours. Thanks again for a great gig. Paul, Angela and Marie
I watched the great Carlos Santana several years ago at Crystal Palace and now watched VIVASANTANA on 08/06/07 in Penzance and they were fantastic and the best I have seen and the nearest I will ever get to the Sanatna music, with my eyes closed the music was like the real thing (Carlos Santana), now watching VIVASANTANA for the first time I now look forward in seeing them again and again and promoting them to the whole world. I highly recommend to all the Santana fans out there to watch VIVASANTANA to keep the spirit of Santana music alive for years to come. Many thanks to VIVASANTANA of giving me the music of great Carlos Santana. Many thanks and best regards, from Bobby Vadgama.
Enjoyed a great high energy show at Worthing! Have you ever thought about introducing a brass section to your Viva Santana band? Annon

I was at your gig on Friday and I must say was quite blown away. I've been to see tribute bands before and have never seen anyone capture the essence of a band as much as you guys. I have to admit I've been known to cringe a little when someone attempts a guitar solo of one of the greats because for me they never seem to be able to pull it off but Marcos Rodriguez really did! All of you were amazing, really tight and really did the Santana sound justice!!! I will most certainly be seeing you again x Fefe, Winchester
What a brilliant evening at Bromsgrove, so like the real thing! When are you coming back? Mick, Redditch
I saw this band at the Stables in Milton Keynes. They were fantastic. A must must see.C. Weekes Milton Keynes 2007
Went with my daughter & her boyfriend to see you all in Bromsgrove,Worcestershire. It was a superb evening, which we all enjoyed very much.We only felt that there should have been a bigger turnout( it was raining outside )& I think there would have been if the performance had been in Birmingham.I was amazed by the Santana sound you all made.I saw Carlos & band at the Odeon cinema New Street Birmingham in the '70's with my then boyfriend, & I remember sitting in the bar for much of the evening because the volume was a bit too much for me,a classical guitarist. However,I became a firm fan, impressed by their musicality & have enjoyed their albums ever since.I do hope Viva Santana will come to Bromsgrove or Birmingham again,we would love to see you!! Catherine,Rosie & Sam,Bromsgrove,Worcestershire
Excellent night in Bromsgrove 26/05/07,so close to the real thing, spooky !! Great Talent from all the band, thank you! well done! Ian and Bernie.
Hi Viva Santana My husband and I and four other friends saw your spectacular show at the Artrix Theatre last night in Bromsgrove. It was an absolutely sensational evening and one that all of us enjoyed tremendously. Would love to see you all again and will visit your web site to see where you are playing next. Unfortunately, we were unable to visit the table where you had your merchandise on sale and I really wanted to buy your CD. Your music brought back so many good and happy memories. Keep on grooving guys! Lubna and Rehan ul-Haq
Hi Guys, Just a quick message to congratulate you on the superb performance last Friday. I have seen you on many occasions now and thought I maybe getting a bit bored by now, how wrong could I be. The set last Friday was the best yet, both in terms of performance and tracks, good to see Mr Happy on keys again. Please do not stop doing what you do, you are an absolute joy to see. I would even go so far as to say that you are THE BEST band I have ever seen. Please come back to Hull as soon as you can, I know that there will be another full house eager to see you. VIVA SANTANA Regards Paul Anderson
Hi guys, just to say, it may have been just another location (and I've seen you at a few now), but your performance on Friday night at Blackburn was really tremendous - all those who didn't come along with me, missed a vibrant evening with sounds that reached right into your soul. Keep it up - and see you all again soon.
thanks for a fantastic evening at th customs house in south shields absoloutly brill what a way to spend a sunday evening cant wait till the next gig thanks suz
Saw you at St Georges Hall in Blackburn last night (11th May '07) - what a brilliant night, you guys are absolutely fantastic, such amazing musicians. We are so glad we've had the VivaSantana Experience and really look forward to seeing you again soon. Great to talk to Cliff and Marc afterwards too - lovely guys. Hi! watched your show at King George's May 12th and can honestly say the best show I have ever seen! The music, vocals, lighting and the mood were 100% Brilliant! will be finding where your upcoming gigs are and be there immediately! Favourite song of all time is Smooth and was worried when you didnt play it! BUT WHEN YOU DID!!.. Best Performance"!!!
Fabulous show on Sunday at the Boom Boom
Great show last night, still talking about it this morning!!
After a long drive from Leicester we weren't disappointed. Thanks for a wonderful rendition of EUROPA. Another great gig guys and you managed to get me up on my feet (as usual). We need more gigs in the Midlands PLEASE.
Hi Guys Thanks for a fantastic set at the Sutton Boom Boom club last Sunday. We have seen you a few times now, but think the gig Sunday has been the best so far. The music was crisp, tight and spot on. Great choice of song for the set list and a most enjoyable evening. Looking forward to seeing the Live CD on the website and to be assured of a us buying a copy. Once again thanks to you all for a great evenings entertainment. Regards Mark & Christine
My husband didn't even know who Santana were (where's he been???) and was adamant he didn't like them. But he read a great review in the Milton Keynes Citizen, so thought he'd treat me (he must be after something). His feet, hands and shoulders didn't stop moving once all night. It's the first time I've had a sore arm from too much drumming on my knees during a gig. What a wonderful night (The Stables - 20th April 2007). Thanks guys - come back soon, Miriam, Milton Keynes
Many thanks for a great evening of brilliant music on saturday! We also saw you in Basingstoke about a year ago in the smaller (Central Studios) venue at Queen Mary's college and enjoyed it so much that we brought along a whole bunch of friends for this one!!!!! I hope you are able to return to the area for another performance next year. Keep up the good work!!! Steve Manear
Had a great evening at the Boom Boom club on 12.11.2006. The band played with great verve and energy. As a fan of the great bands of the 70s who could really play like The Allman Bros, Steely Dan and of course Santana it is stunning to see Viva Santana replicate the complexities of the Santana sound so well. The skill of the bands musical artistry is highlighted by superb counterpoints and togertherness. Take just one track such as Dance Sister Dance and you can be forgiven for believing you are watching the real band as it was virtually note to note perfect. Thanks for letting my son George play on timbales and percussion. He will treasure the moment forever as no Jim will fix it could ever match this experience. Allen Perkins – Worcester Park
Great gig at basingstoke tonight when are you in the bournemouth area again?
Hi all Just to say thank you for coming to Norwich on a Sunday night to play some wonderful music ( I’m sure you have families to be with) but I hope you visit us again soon. Jeremy Dyson.
Hi Viva Santana, Heather and I went to the gig on Saturday evening in Bury, absolutely fantastic, we will be watching out for your next gig in our area, Julian

Hi there VivaSantana! Just wanted to let you guys Know how much we enjoyed the Show and how fantastic you all are. We have been big fans of Carlos for years and my partner once went to see him play. We thought WOW! What a great tribute you guys are. You play extremely well! I wanted to get up and dance but instead I was foot tapping and jiggling in my seat! I want to wish 'Happy Birthday' to Sedge again who for me was totally amazing! Love your voice Sedge! you sing so well. Thankyou all again for a great evening! Love Tina Tory.
We saw Santana back in May and went to your Banbury gig not knowing what to expect. We weren't dissapointed, the concert was brilliant, could have been the man himself. A great 2hr+ set and the best concert we've been to for ages. Hope you will come back and play there again. Anyone who hasn't seen these guy's, you're missing out, go get tickets now. Hope to catch you again soon. No Name
Having been a an ardent fan of Santana since they first came on the scene, I was intrigued to see how a tribute band could possibly get anywhere near the sound and musical talent of Santana. We soon discovered the answer when we saw them at Banbury on 9th August 2006. I can honestly say that we were blown away by VivaSantana. The talent, energy and authenticity was breathtaking. Can't wait for the next opportunity to see them again. Les & Jill Smith
Hi saw you at Marvellous festival at Wellington Country Park thought you were great you had all my family up dancing keep rocking. No name
Hi there! Saw you at The Riverside at Stamford Meadows and just want to say you were absolutely awesome! I'm a massive Santana fan and have every single one of their albums (the first ten are the best though) and was interested to see how well you could pull Santana's music off what with them being amazing musicians and I must say you far far exceeded my expectations - I was literally blown away by how amazing you guys were. You did Santana justice ten-fold. Hope to see you again some time. Sorry we didn't stick around to chat to you afterwards - we had to get off. Many many thanks for making my day. Wayne (Coldplace)
Riverside Festival - Stamford. Absolutely fabulous! Congratulations on a superb gig, the most impressive element to me was the attention to detail in the set and the very evident togetherness of the rhythm section. Mr Rodriguez's guitar work was pretty special too and whilst being very accurate there was something very natural in the performance. I would watch you guys anytime - Thanks, a great finale to a great day. Roger
Having been a recent convert to the talents of Carlos Santana and his band (despite borrowing albums 30 years ago from schoolfriends who had already seen the light, I just couldn't see what the fuss was about at the time!), I was looking forward to seeing the tribute band Viva Santana at Kyps on this mild Thursday night. The band had been recommended to me by friends who had seen their last visit here. The band are a six piece, featuring Marcos Rodriguez on lead guitar and vocals; Sedge Santini on timbales/percussion and vocals; Colin Da Sousa on bass guitar; Cliff Martinez on congas/percussion and vocals; Erique Cobarna on drums; and finally, Joselito Frances on keyboards/vocals. They took to the stage to warm applause from the crowd , and had the audience enthralled for the next two hours or so, with their infectious latin rhythms. The smaller crowd could have been an advantage to those at the front, enabling them to show off their dance moves! There followed a great selection of tracks, from the obvious numbers--Maria Maria, Evil Ways, She's Not There, Black Magic Woman, Oy Ye Como Va,J ingo La and of course the anthemic Samba Pa Ti, to the less well known( by me!) Blues Is A Healer (featuring lead vocals from Cliff) and one of my favourites on the night, Let The Children Play. The band obviously enjoy their music, and are very talented individuals who perform together as a very tight unit. Highlight of the night had to be the percussion 'beat off' on Black Magic Woman between Sedge (who also has an incredible voice) and Cliff, with each taking turns to outdo the other - a very entertaining and humerous duel! A great night was had by all those who were there, and I urge anyone with a liking for anything Latin to get there bums out of their seats and attend the gig the next time this band are at Kyps - they will not disappoint you! Review by: Paul Cox
Hi guys.Saw your show at The Astor in Deal on Saturday. All I can say is wow!As a Santana fan of many years standing I was IMPRESSED.I have seen the great man himself several times over the years, and you guys are so good,it was as if he was THERE with his band.I hope you come back to Deal or somewhere nearby soon.I certainly will be spreading the word-Viva Santana! Gordon Beadle Whitstable.
F**k that that was good, we've seen you twice now and never been disappointed (once at the Tivoli Theatre in Wimborne and tonight at Mr kyps). The front three, bass and keyboards are a given; you're all good, but the drummer... he his better than good. Do you play any other type of music? We will go to work tomorrow and people will say 'did you see so and so on the t.v. last night and me and the wife will say; no we were out living!!!! BRilliant
Gents, Thanks for a great concert at the Astor. An excellent top quality performance, both collectively and individually. All very talented and inspirational. I will certainly recommend you to my friends. Be sure of a warm welcome if you visit Deal again in the future. Regards, Ian Ferrell.
Went to see Viva Santana at Pendley Court Theatre in Tring, was a brilliant night, Completely blown away by the band, be more than happy to see it all again tonight! Keep doing what you're doing, because it's amazing! Ali
Hi, Saw you for the 1st time at Mr Kyps in Poole last night 20/4/06. Absolutely Fantastic!!!!!!! Blew me away, I'm a huge fan of Santana and listen to him daily in the car& at home. Nothing prepared me for the show that Viva Santana performed.Excellent. I could have listened to you all night, I danced my little legs off and enjoyed every moment. You all have an immense talent and I will be at every gig I can get to. Great guys all took the time to speak to me at the end of the show. Big Big respect to you all!!!I'll see you all again soon. Mandy X
I went to a VIVA SANTANA gig on the weekend at Sutton FC and what an amazing set. I've seen the main man Carlos Santana on 3 occasions and VIVA SANTANA are 99.99% the real deal!! I am a big fan of Santana and I went to listen to your tribute yesterday night (26/11/05) in the Studio in Basingstoke. The room was mainly packed with genuine fans but also a few young new listeners. That was a superb performance from talented musicians and you created a great sound which make live performances so unique. From percussions to lead guitar you filled the room with Carlos Santana's spirit. A memorable gig for me, come back soon.Galil Wach
Saw the band in Basingstoke. It was a fantastic gig, the sound was excellent - every instrument could be heard. The audience were applauding from the start, you needn't be a Santana fan to have enjoyed the gig. Please come back soon. Dave & Mary
I saw your gig last night at the Beaufort Ballroom Ebbw Valw, absolutely brilliant, come back soon, thanks .Mike Thomas

Hi Guys, Great gig last night in Glasgow .Carlos himself has not been here since 1976,meaning we have to travel to Manchester ,Birmingham or London to see him,so it was great to hear you all play so well and accurately and to hear all the stuff that Carlos never or rarely plays nowadays.I do love the new stuff but the first four albums are classic. Keep up the good work and come back soon.(Caravanserai next time?) Tom
Hi Guys,Thanks for a really Supernatural performance at the South Parade Pier. Hi all, Just a quick note to say the concert was great. You are all excellent! When is your next one in Shields? Hope to see you all soon, Christina
My name is Susan Richardsen and I wanted to send an e-mail regarding your show last night (Saturday 01/10/05) at the Customs House in South Shields. A friend of mine had arranged tickets for the show, her father was supposed to go and couldn't make it. Sad for him, but very lucky for me. Memories of my holidays in Maceio, Brazil came flooding back. As you know, that part of the world is full of natural rhythm - as your whole band seems to be! I am certainly a new fan and look forward to your next visit to my home town. VivaSantana is certainly the best tribute band I've seen! Susan Richardsen
Saw the gig at Springhead, What a night, u guys are all great musicians and by far the best tribute band i have seen, ive never seen a guitarist as amazing as Marcos Rodriguez and ill definetly look out for future gigs. Chris Boyce
South Shields Customs House Last night 1st Oct Great sound really glad you are doing this tribute of SANTANA It is as near the authentic as anyone could hope for. Persuaded my SANTANA loving friends to come along and they enjoyed it as much as a Real SANTANA gig. High praise indeed. Hope you keep going for a long time. Everyone went away very happy from this gig Big thank you to you all Cheers ,Christine Moore
Enjoyed the show at South Sheilds, when are you coming back ? Ritchie Brown
Hi, was at the gig in South Shields last night. Fantastic, although the sound was definitely better in the second half. Can't wait until you are back in the area again because I'll be there! Pete Bagnall
Great gig at South Shields Customs House on 01/10/05. Particular highlights were 'Dance Sister Dance' and 'Carnival'. Just wish we lived further south/or you came further north more often! Looking forward to Astoria gig in November. From Sharon and Steve x Sharon Oliver
Check out Shields Gazette 280905.Good feature on the band promoting Saturday,s gig.Saw you last time at the CUSTOM HOUSE,will be there again on Saturday with the family. We had the pleasure of seeing the great man & his band (Manchester 2000).My daughters were introduced to the sound for the first time then and although their musical tastes have digressed since then ,it's about time they had a sharp reminder of how music should sound ! Mick Conway
29/09/05 The Boardwalk, Sheffield. Vivasantana were truly exceptional. A very memorable experience. Personal highlights were 'Europa' and 'Victory Is Won'. Kevin Chilligworth
Thank you for the brilliant performance last night at the Broadwalk in Sheffield, I didn't want you to stop playing! Please return again soon. Helen

Saw you last night in Chesham. Absolutley excellent. Sorry you didn't play 'Song of the Wind' [my favoutite] but neither did Carlos when I went to see him! Hope to catch your show again very soon.Janice
Hi people! Saw you at Hull Truck theatre last week and was quite gobsmacked! Only stayed there through my work, bored, nothing to do so I looked in paper to see what was on, and wasn't I the lucky boy! Astounding music, congratulations! John Peyton
hi thought you guys where great last night at the warf me and my dad went im 15 wasnt really a big santana fan but me dad dragged me along and i thought you where amazing a real insparation to all kinds of people. Unknown
I'm a regular at Mr Kyps and I've always meant to catch you playing there. What a fantastic job you all do particlarly the way the percussion including drums all lock together. The sound is always crystal clear at Mr Kyps and we could hear everyone perfectly. I only own the later Santana Albums, but I'm off now to buy a few more! Please keep going and look forward to seeing you again. James Dedman
What a sensational night at Mr Kyps on Friday. Great venue, great crowd and most importantly a great show. Everything came together, with the dancers up and on the floor from the first notes and both the band and the audience clearly having a great time. Looking forward to seeing you do it again . . . . and soon. Los Amigos
Having seen Sanatana live on the last two occasions they've toured the UK I thought the chance to see a tribute band might be just a bit of a laugh. How wrong I was. Last nights performance at The Wharf, Tavistock was brilliant and beyond our expectations. Fantastic music from across the whole spectrum of Sanatana's albums, with an authentic sound that I wouldn't believe possible from only a six piece band. Please keep playing and touring the westcountry as we shall certainly be coming to see you again! Paul & Angela
Saw you at The Wharf in Tavistock last night for the second time and thought you were really mind blowing! My partner and I thought the atmosphere was awesome. Have recently found Santana again through Supernatural and Shamen as I am sure have thousands of others. Marcos`s guitar playing is uncanny and the whole band blend together to give a truly unique experience. We would love to see you at a bigger local venue! Plymouth Pavillions? Thanks for a great evening, come back soon. Chris Bennett
Wow, no matter how many times I see you, you never cease to amaze me. If anything, the music is getting better and better. Last nights performance in Hull was awesome. I noticed that you have changed the set around a bit and added some new tracks, the result was a deep, intoxicating sound which leant itself nicely to the intimate venue. The only disappointment being that the happiest man in the world was missing on keys, although the replacement was still exceptional. Just keep on doing what you do best. awesome. Many thanks. Paul Anderson Willerby East Yorkshire
Many thanks for a fantastic gig last night at Hull Truck ! We hope you had a good time and a safe journey home. We've already had lots of fantastic feedback from the audience. Please come again ! With Very Best Wishes to you all ! Gareth Associate Director Hull Truck Theatre
What an astounding show from a brilliant set of musicians. Absolutely stunning. Can't wait to see them when they visit Hull again. Words fail me! Bob
We have seen you now a number of times and at the end of the night we look forward to your next gig. The first time we saw you play was at the Springhead in Hull. You were breathtaking. After seeing you there a second time we then travelled to the Running Horse in Nottingham the following night. In January 2005 we braved a Rock and Blues weekend at Butlins for 2 more chances to watch in awe before catching last night's performance at Hull Truck Theatre. Each one certainly worth the wait. It was great to see every member of the band playing with so much talent, feeling and enthusiasm. Look forward to seeing you at your next gig. Lynne Kyle & Billy Clark
We spent a most enjoyable evening at Hull Truck Theatre last night. Brilliant music played by a fabulous band. Looking forward to your next visit to Hull later in the year! Janet & Kevin Brown
Your visit to The Spring Street Theatre last night was a real surprise, having only heard the obvious tracks by santana i was thinking i might be bit bored in betwwen the songs that i knew, how wrong i was.The band were just amazing, and at times you almost forgot Mr Rodriguez was there as you marvalled at the skill of the rhythm section and the keyboards and then all of a sudden another riff would pierce the sound and all eyes would be back on the main man. This was a great night to be introduce to the sounds of santana from the 60,s to present day, played by one of the most accomplished and laid back bands i have had the pleasure to see. look forward to seeing you again at the Springhead in September. Terry
What a great night at the the Spring Street, enjoyed all songs and instrumentals immenseley, thanks for brightening up a Monday Night in Hull. Ian & Carol Kemp
I was at your gig at the Harrow Art centre on 1st April 2005. Man what a performance. Absolutely electrifying straight from Carlos Santana's mouth. and Original. Marcos, Sedge and all you guys you can preach Carlos Santana. Long live Carlos and his followers. God Bless. Keep it up. Himanshu Bavaria , London
What an experience at The Stables last weekend. First time(for me)watching in a big theatre venue. Sound was AMAZING, band as BRILLIANT as ever. Just couldn't keep in my seat, had to get up and dance. Well worth the drive from Leicester. Can't wait for next chance to see you all. Jan Flax
At the Stables, Wavendon I was amazed and transfixed by the quality and replica sound of this tribute band. Their enthusiasm and playing skills were clear for everybody to see. During the performance I closed my eyes and could hear that unique and stunning sound of Santana. I will certainly making a point of seeing this band again at the next opportunity, VIVA SANTANA Steve
from Barrie and Chris the Bedford Two well you have done it again. what a show you all put on at the stabels last night. we have not seen you since luton festival, and boy how you have come on,we thought you were good at luton but last night you were even better well done lads, keep it ,and may i say a big thank you from every one at the show last night for the joy you brought to every one Barrie & Chris
Well guys, what a fantastic night at Wavendon. The Stables was sold out and the audience was buzzing with anticipation right from the start. They were not disappointed. They were treated to two superb sets that clearly gave them just what they wanted and built into a sensational performance that truly captured the mood, sound, feel and emotion of this incredible music. The sensual rhythm and exchanges between vocals and guitar on ‘The Healer’ were very special and your version of ‘Gitano’ showed off some great acoustic guitar work and group vocals. It was a great show laced throughout with fearsome guitar, impassioned keyboards, inspired vocals and erotic rhythms - all combined to raise the crowd to an enthusiastic crescendo – demanding more and more. Absolutely brilliant and all captured on film so everyone can relive a great time and great music. Thanks. The Londoners
Wimborne got it right at last, a top band at a top venue - intimate yet rocking! We loved every minute of it and to watch others playing air guitar around us just added to the fun, it was fantastic. So many memories... we too were at Wembley to see Carlos live, but when I closed my eyes we could have been still there. I just wish we could have partied longer. So, when are you coming back to Wimborne? Chris & Nick Ballam
Hi Fellas We went to your concert last Friday at the Tivoli Wimborne and well what can we say? We have been fans of Santana for many years, Mike goes back to the 60's - me not quite that old yet!!! Anyway, I can honestly say that it was the best live show I have ever been to. All your musical skills pay a fantastic tribute to Carlos and his musicians and we for one really look forward to seeing you all again. Keep up the excellent work! Good luck with the new CD, you deserve more recognition that alot of the so called 'musical talent' we hear on the radio today. Rose Cummins & Mike Cheesman
Really enjoyed your show in Wimborne - viva Santana. An excellent choice of tracks and brought back loads of memories.... Thank you. Lynda Gulliver
what a fantastic night at wimborne we had the music and atmosphere brill...all the solos too were great thanks also for the time you took to have a chat with us afterwards hope to see you at mr kyps...... Rob
The band were on top form at Tivoli Theatre in Wimborne last night. It was a stunning show from beginning to rousing end. I doubt that anything like it has been seen here before. Such talent and enthusiasm. This was the real Santana legend given a truly thundering delivery, with searing guitar riffs, classic keyboard and dancing rhythms that made for a sensational evening. The band deserved the standing ovation from the crowd at the end for a knock out show with great sound and a great venue.D & D
We have received sad news of a family bereavement in the past few days, but your gig we saw blew all the sadness away, what a night and what talent on stage.D & J
My name is Jack and i am 14.I play the bass guitar and saxophone, and that has inspired me so much to play along to all of Santana's songs.I loved you guys at the Wimborne show last nite, you may have seen me at the end of the 3rd row..I didn't think anyone would be able to live up to the real Santana legend, but from my experience, nothing comes any closer to the real thing than what i saw last night..It was truely magnificent, the solos were all spot on and the guitar riffs were replicas of the real thing. All six of you put your all and best in to it and me and my dad will be seeing you in the near future..Thanks for a superb evening...Jack Kellythorn (14)
I have to say the gig you guys played last night in wimborne was the best live gig i've ever been to!Im 16 and have just recently been getting the great Santanas music.I am a trumpet player and have been playing a few pieces by carlos in the big band that i play with-but the stuff we do doesnt even come close to you guys You're bloody fantastic!!!Can't wait to go and see when you next come to mr kyps! Thanks for a fantastic evening you are all incredibly talented!!! Lyndsey Walker (16)
Last night's gig at Wimborne was the best. I never thought I'd get to see a band that could stand up to my favourite for 36 years, but you guys achieved that 100%. Marcos is Carlos, but you are all great musicians and thoroughly deserve the accolade of "best tribute band ever". As one of only two men who actually danced in front of the stage, I can honestly say that you blew my mind! In fact, I enjoyed it more than the great man's show at Wembley in 2003. Can't wait for your first album. Come back soon. Peter Aldous
Just got back from Wimborne and am still knocked out by what I heard; what a band! At times impossible to tell the difference between you and the original. When does someone start a tribute band of VivaSantana? I'll definitely want to see you again. Thanks for a great evening. Graham Davies
Excelent gig tonight at Wimborne in Dorset. Best tribute band I have heard for a year, it was even better that we knew most of the tunes being played. Keep up the good work guys. Hopefully see you agin if your down this way. Nigel Moody
Thanks for the Tsunami benefit gig at the Golden Lion. The show was everything that it promised - showmanship, enthusiasm, fun and a showcase for the many talents that appeared on stage throughout the night - a great gig and all in a good cause. The crowd and the bands were all having a real party and for those seeing Viva Santana for the first time, it must have been a revelation to hear so many highlights from the Santana songbook played with obvious skill and drive - soaring guitar, superb vocals and evocative rhythmns. A sensational show - with Stacy Smith and her band on great form and Viva Santana whipping up a storm, so that it was long after closing time and the crowd was still calling for more. Now we are looking forward to future gigs and the long awaited CD!!! D & D
It was great to be welcomed and giving me the opportunity to work with you Guys. I will be honoured to to work with you whenever you want me to. With best wishes to you all.Sammy Mukerji (Tabla Player)
Viva Santana Was looking forward with trepidation to see you at Skegness as Santana are one of my favourites I was worried you would spoil the music!!! But NO it was fantastic!!!! Thoroughly enjoyed the experience and as the Gordon Tough says the WHOLE CROWD wanted more EXCELLENT. Looking forward to catching you again some time soon I hope Cheers Christine Moore
I can honestly say that Viva Santana are the only tribute band that I have ever enjoyed. Thank for contributing to a great night. Best wishes Terry Ball
Thoroughly enjoyed the gig at Skegness. Only problem was that you guys were so good the gig zipped by!! Left me wanting more. Bloody well done. Gordon Tough
Just to say really looking forward to seeing you all again in 2005. Enjoyed the gig at Wycombe Town Hall on 13/11/04 enormously. Keep on playing you are excellent musicians and give a lot of fun and pleasure to the audiences. I was not into Tribute bands but you are something else! A.Newman
Excellent gig at High Wycombe on 13/11/04 will certainly come to see you again when you are in this are. Brilliant musicians and fun to watch. Had a good sing and bop and thoroughly enjoyed the evening. Last time I saw a band at Wycombe Town Hall it was the WHO in the 1960's! That dates me a bit! Astrid
I've been a fan of Carlos for over 30 years and although have been fortunate to see him live on several occasions it is never enough. Having been to the gig in Hertford on the 12th November I now know that whenever I need a "fix" of the great guys music played live, I just need to look up VivaSantana. They capture the mood, sound, feel and emotion of this incredible music. To celebrate his music in this way, not only do you have to be devoted to it, but also you have to you have to be truly gifted. There is no question that VivaSantana are.Ali
Hi my husband and my kids came to see yr band on sat night at wycombe town hall and we thought you were brilliant.I was introduced to carlos santanas music by my two teenage sons who are 13 and 15 and they are both learning to play the guitars, one electric the other bass. They thought you were amazing. We will definitely come and see you again and also bring along more family members, such sexy music well done . Sophie
Well I was astonished how good the band were, having seen Santana a few times I did not know what to expect. Viva Santana were absolutely brilliant. Great sound, fantastic energy, musicianship of the highest order. Come back to High Wycombe every month. Thanks you were all brillaint. Iain Phillips
Brilliant gig at Hertford on Friday. Even though the seating plan didn't make for an intimate evening, you gave it 110% YOU ROCK GUYS! Richard
The best concert I have ever seen in my life! I really thought the music was fab! thanx for the poster and signed names victoria Thomson 9 years old ps i saw you in high wycombe on the 13th of November.victoria Thomson

We came to see you in Hertford on 12th November, it was my first time, but Peter has been a fan for sometime! I will be back! keep up the passion boys! Maxine and Peter Scaife
Just saw you play at Hertford. Having seen the "real thing" 4 times, I was very impressed. Really enjoyed it, and the playlist was excellent. Some of my all time favourites such as Guarija, Samba Pa Ti, Evil Ways, Jingo, Oye Como Va were played really well, plus ones that I had forgotten I liked, such as Carnaval / Let the children play. I would definitely go again.Felix
Thursday night at The HORNS Watford. Fantastic. One of the best live performances I have been to. Unbelievable how much percussion can blend with some of the most superb guitar playing I have seen. Never seen Santana live but know the music well. Difficult to see how Carlos could be better! Well done guys, a special well done for the young guest percussionist! Well done to Pam and Denis at the HORNS Watford! Peter Rootes
We went to the concert in Letchworth on Saturday Night (16th October) and the band were absolutely BRILLIANT!!. They were so professional, and note perfect, to the great man himself right from the early years to present time. We will be checking the gig list closely and look forward to another fantastic night of sheer BRILLIANCE. Tony & Debbie , Stevenege
Fantastic evening in Cambridge, great music was has good as the real Santana that I knew 30 years ago. Hope to see you again Best wishes Francois
Dear Marcos and crew! What a fabulous show you gave us on Saturday recreating the sound and ambience of the great man, Carlos Santana! I hope you enjoy reading our review of the concert at www.plinstonlive.com Best wishes and do come again!!! Alan Howard ,Director of Marketing & PR Letchworth Garden City Heritage Foundation
First Viva Concert we've been to at Letchworth on Saturday - Absolutely Brilliant. The band and audience were buzzing and the set was superb. Just going to the gig list to see where you are off to next. Simon & Helen
What an atmosphere at The Running Horse on Sat night. The band were red hot and the crowd were clearly "havin a ball". Great to see the band giving the Midlands a visit.MORE GIGS HERE PLEASE.Jan Flax
Springhead (Hull 1-10-004 ) You guys kick ass !! superb set and a great atmosphere we live and die in sp hd you are the best band weve seen in years !! looking forward to seeing you again at the rock and blues weekend Skegness in jan hope you come back to Hull, Keep the faith, and thanks for keeping music Live Martin & Donna
Dragged mself out to Hull Friday Night (1-10-2004). Loving Santana not expecting too much. What can I say, thoroughly enjoyed myself. No weak members. Percussion (essential) was great. Guitars/keyboards right on it. Vocals, probably better than Santanas live set. Best of all, you all seemed to be enjoying it and that is not always the case when bands are on the road for long periods. Thanks for a great night . I will come to watch next time you are up here and drag along some other tribute band sceptics! Dennis Kilmore
The wind and rain that swept Lyme Regis on Saturday night (11 Sep 04) was not what we had hoped for on our visit from 'the smoke', but it did not deter a great crowd from enjoying a fantastic show that packed the Marine Theatre and had the dance floor filled from the start. Viva Santana offered a sensational performance that got better and better throughout the evening. The Santana songbook was replayed with searing guitar, inspired vocals and erotic rhythms - all combined to bring the crowd to dancing, cheering and applauding crescendo. The band were not allowed to go without returning for the enthusiastic demands for encores. It was difficult to know who was enjoying it more, the crowd or the band, but everyone ended the evening having had a great time and great music. Thanks. The Londoners
Many thanks for a fantastic concert last night at Lyme Regis (11 Sep 04). It was a truly uplifting experience. You really capture the spirit and sound of Santana, with your own interpretation thrown in for good measure. Every song a gem - fresh and vivid - but steeped in happy memories. I never though I'd hear Santana live in Lyme Regis, but there you were. Keep that rythmn flowing, keep that guitar singing, keep that good feeling...Phil Taylor
Thanks for the great evening at the Riga Bar, the music was hot, as was the temperature and the performances given, the set was good but I was half expecting to hear something from "Caravanserai", I think the searing guitar work on that album would be great to hear played by Marcos. The new guy on keys played excellently and the whole show left our group with a feeling of well being, after a great nights entertainment. Thank You! Sterling
The heat of the day was nothing compared with the sweltering heat cooked up for the band’s return to the Riga in Southend on Saturday night. It was everything that anyone could have expected . . . . fiery solos, sensual rhythms and more. It was evident from the comments at the bar that it was a revelation for those who had not seen the band before. For those of us who knew what to expect . . . . we were treated to some great new numbers played with passion, driving energy and obvious enthusiasm. How the band survived the heat on stage is a mystery to all. The air conditioning fought a losing battle against the crowd who danced and applauded with increasing spirit through to the encore. What a great night. Hope everyone enjoys the August break you deserve it! Dee and Dennis
We were at RIGA gig in Southend. Another wonderful gig. What could be better than the hot sexy Santana sounds on a sultry humid evening !! We are from Leicester....PLEASE do some MIDLAND gigs soon before we get withdrawal symptoms. HELP Jan Flax
i saw/ heard (i'm short and couldn't see over the people on the balcony thing) you today at the London Guitar Show, YOU ROCKED!!! VIVA SANTANA.Anthony
Hi, we travelled from afar (Dartford, Kent!!) to see our 2nd Viva Santana concert and again were not dissapointed. In addition to the normal band members was an excellent new keys player and between them they absolutely nailed the Santana style, those swirling keys are such an important part of the music. I really enjoyed "The Healer" again and was surprised to hear the newer Michelle Branch number, sung well by the fine vocalist from the support band.A great set again, and a great night's live entertainment, the set was long and I was dissapointed when it ended, however it was superb, thank you! Such musicianship deserves a wider audience, but I will be at Wembley, and will try and catch you guys at Southend also. A big thank you to all the group, the guest percussionist was working his sox off to, and it felt even better to see the stage "full, with vibrant people, not least of all a great guitarist". Sterling
I regularly go to Tribute Band Concerts, and almost without exception the musicians are very good. However I saw Santana at the Wembly Arena last year and Viva Santana at the St Albans Arena tonight and both are in a different quality league altogether. Over two hours of ecstasy on both occasions! These were not just concerts they were life experiences. The VivaSantana band generate an irresistable passion that seems to feed off each other, as only a united group of superbly talented musicians can, and which draws the audience irresitably into this passion. Marcos is a brilliant lead for a top rate team. This band just has to be going places fast! David Blackburn
Great gig at customs house south shields last night music was accurate and well performed by talented and well reherced musicians carlos would approve, Ian adey
Saw the band last night (17/04/2004)at The Customs House, South Shields. You guys are excellent, you play with passion that can be felt in every riff, bar and beat. Thanks Viva Santana for an amazing night of entertainment that you provided in your own unique style. I will definitely be looking out for your next gig.Peter Stokel
Hi there I was at the Customs house in South Shields on Saturday 17th April and my husband and myself had the most fantastic night of music and memories thanks to you all. Hope to see you all again in the future June and John Curry
Fabulous night at the Customs House, South Shields. My friend and I didn't know what to expect being Santana virgins, but boy VIVASANTANA stole our hearts. Will definately see you again. Sandra Thornton, South Shields
Saw a fantastic tribute band last night called 'vivasantana' and they rocked. The amazing guitarist 'Marcos Rodriguez' was incredible, if I'd closed my eyes I would have said it was Carlos himself. He really is that good and I should know as I saw Carlos last year, this guy smokes. Backed by his band of very talented musicians featuring drums, bass, keyboards, percussion/vocals and another percussion player on bongo's/conga's etc they played a fantastic two sets to a very appreciative audience, earning a standing ovation at the end. They covered everything from the sixties to present day all with an endless energy and passion, what a fantastic night out. Got to meet the band afterwards too and you couldn't wish to meet such a nice bunch of guys. I was there with my partner Chris and her son Sean and a friend and his two kids, all of the kids have special needs and learning difficulties and the guys were so patient and friendly with them taking time out to talk and sign posters for them, the kid's are still on cloud nine. Got to speak to Marcos as he spotted my PRS t-shirt, and we raved and swapped stories of our favourite guitars, he even confessed to saying he thought a Custom 22 was the best sounding PRS. He currently uses a blue mateo Brazilian Santana II and his back up is an orange Santana II (just like mine) plugged into a Mesa Boogie Heartbreaker, and a few pedals which I couldn't see. If you hear of them playing in the UK or Europe you've got to check them out .Ainsley Wills
Thank you for a great evening. This was a superb show especially to an old timer like me. I first saw Sanatana many years ago and due to the fact he rarely visits the UK, this was the next best thing. Look forward to the next time. Ciao Jeff & Lesley Sabiston
Just to say we really enjoyed the show at the Customs House at South Shields last night do come back again next year sometime, we will be there.Great show and the boys performed really well and the choice of material was good for the show. The Walkers. Smooth on. Don Walker
thaks for a great evening in south shields you were fantastic i didnt think any one could match the sounds of carlos santana you did all the old sounds and new brilliant Suzanne Baker
Hi, guys. Just wanted to say what a superb evening we had watching and listening to you at the Custom House, South Shields. Seen a few tribute bands who have 1 or 2 accomplished musicians but we have never seen such a band with 6 superb musicians. The timing was superb, the playing brilliant. An unforgettable night. Thanks, guys!Steve & Gazel Robinson
thanx for a great nite out in south shields. the music was excellent. you have two new santana music fans. we really enjoyed ourselves. thanx to erique for the advice you gave to my son jordan. thanx to santinni for the drum sticks for my son. excellent.Sharon & Jordan Embleton ,South Shields
Wow - The sound at the Custom House was spot on,what more can I say. The Sacred Fire concert was one of the highlights of Carlos'career,it was so good to see and hear a band that plays with the same emotional energy.I thought you's played "Soul Sacrifice" superbly.I had a thoroughly enjoyable evening and so did many others.Couldn't help but notice the big guy in the front row.Brought a big smile to my face!Mickey Conway , South Shields
Thanks for a great night at Fibbers, sound was superb as was the commitment of you all to recreate the "depth" of Santana - its more than just brilliant guitar riffs! Seen lots of tribute bands, and you are one of the best. Look forward to seeing you again. Dave Nutt
You were FANTASTIC last night at Fibbers in York!! I expected you to be an ok band but... s***!! Did you have to be so good?? The real Santana experience! Great percussion work! Great vocals! Great guitars! Misterious bass! Excellent kyboards and drums! What more can rock n roll ask for? Looking forward to seeing you again.Sandra ,York
What a great set at the Fairfield Halls on Saturday night. I came with Dee and Dennis who convinced me it was going to be well worth the journey . . . . and certainly was! A really great tight sound and so close to the original and a positively sensational version of 'The Healer' . . . . superb! Phil Tyler
Just a short note to thank you for a superlative evening at the Fairfield Halls, Croydon 27/3/04. A Santana veteran of 32+ concerts this was my second time of seeing you perform and how you performed!! Fantastic!! Needless to say I will be coming again and also enjoyed chatting to you after the show!! Tony
Hola! You were truly great at the Fairfield Halls last night and I am so happy that I came to see the show. From start to finish I was enthralled by your expertise & the replication of the unique Santana sound which I thought I would never get to experience as I missed them when they last played in London a few years ago. Your Samba Pa Ti was beautiful as too was Maria Maria - all that was missing was "I'll be waiting"....and I will be waiting for you next time you are around here! Love, Loopy Lynn X
Thank you for a most memorable night of entertainment at Croydon’s Ashcroft Theatre on Saturday March 27th. This was our first experience of a VIVASantana concert and we were not disappointed. Being a huge follower of Santana ever since listening to the Abraxas album back in the early 70's we approached the gig with a little hesitation. But from the very first notes we were reliving that Santana aura. A fantastic set covering the bands “Greatest Hits” was very well received and enjoyed by the audience and we hope to now see you again at Wembley in May. May we wish you continued success and keep up the great musical tribute to our beloved Carlos and the Santana band. Thanks again for a great night. Regards Mark & Chris South London
Just got back from seeing you at Fairfield Halls in Croydon-its the first time that I have seen you but certainly wont be the last. You came highly recommended from friends who think you are the best tribute band around and have to say I agree.I thought you were all brilliant and gave it your all from start to finish.I cannot wait to see you again.Stella Gray
Absolutely fantastic, the best concert I have been to for years.Tight, exciting,LOUD and beutifully played,Carlos would have been really proud! Peter Legg
Loved the set last nite, I have been listening to Santana since the heady days of Woodstock and the first "Lion" album, you played excellently and I was so taken with the individual skills of all of the band, the guy on keys replicated the sound perfectly, so good! "The Healer" was a surprise and superb also. I am pleased to say I will take my son to the Guitar Exhibition at Wembley, and so will get a chance to see you play again...any chance of playing something from "Caravanserai"? I got home and put "Sacred Fire" on immediately! A great evening, thanks for the opportunity. Sterling
Thanks for a memorable night and a superb showcase of the very best of Santana. Even the wind driven rain across Canvey Island could not dampen the spirits of all the folks who crowded into the Oyster Fleet on Friday night to see the band. It was a real treat to hear the band start their set with such obvious drive and enthusiasm and it never flagged throughout the whole show. John’s new keyboard got a good workout in front of an even bigger crowd than last time at the Oyster Fleet. The pulsating end of the evening had everyone on their feet applauding and cheering for more. Thanks for a great night. D & D
The Springhead Willerby (Hull) What A Fantastic Saturday Night! From the opening guitar fanfare to the extended encore the audience were treated to a passionate journey through the magical world of music that is Santana. From the early years of WOODSTOCK to the latest material from SHAMAN. Viva Santana are not just copying, they stamp there own personalities and superb musicianship on a KILLER 2 hour set. All the favourites were there, Black Magic Women, Oya Coma Va etc, plus a few not heard so often Carnival/Let The Children Play and of course the beautiful ballads, Samba Pa Ti, Europe and Victory is Won, ABSOLUTELY STUNNING. Thanks to all the guys for a great evening. Norman Stanford
Without doubt one of the best tibute bands I have heard. Having seen the guy in Rotterdam last year I found it awesome on how you accurately reproduced the sound, it was an absolutely brilliant night. I saw you at the Springhead Pub in Willerby (Hull)on Saturday. I reckon if the man himself had been there he would have been impressed. I understand that you do a lot of gigs in the South. I hope that you will come to Ipswich in the future. Superb Hope to see you around the Suffolk area. .Paul Smith , Suffolk
Hello guys, Saw you last night at the Springhead, Hull and thought you were absolutely fantastic. I've seen numerous bands perform there and you were by far the tightest, most accomplished i've ever seen. Thanks again for a totally brilliant night and keep up the fantastic work, hope to see you soon in York. Regards. Paul Anderson ,Willerby ,East Yorkshire
Well done lads, What a fantastic show you put on tonight at the Flowerpot. First time I've seen you but definately not the last! All players performed excellently and thrilled the crowd. Makes my band look like just a bunch of blokes playing a bunch of songs. Best of luck for the future, you've earned it. congratulations. By the way,Thats the first time I've danced in thirty yearsJoe Ash
Saw you at the Flowerpot last night - excellent! such good vibes from such a talented band. My mum had seen you a year ago there and couldnt wait to bring me, now I cannot wait until the next time! Sexy guitar playing Marcos..another bonus to some great music. Will look forward to seeing you again! Rosanna
Attended my first Viva Santana gig at the FLOWERPOT (March 5th 2004).As a huge SANTANA fan I couldn't imagine any band replicating the unique sound.........but you did !!!!I'm a Viva Santana fan...see you soon at your Midland area gigs.Jan Flax
Saw you at the stables. Unreal to hear the sound of santana live, and you do it so well! Probably the closest I'll ever get to see to the real thing! Great Performance! Mike Brooks
Saw you last night at the Stables. Couldn`t tell the difference between you and the real thing! You were great. Good luck to you all. Regards, Steve Mason
I first saw Carlos Santana in London in the late 60's, so as you can guess I'm no spring chicken myself.Last night Feb 21st, I saw you at the Stables in Wavendon, absolutely brilliant, took me back to that concert so many years ago, you get so close to the Santana sound it was amazing. Let's hope you keep playing and performing for a long as the man himself.Adios amigos !!! Frank White
Thanks for your superb gig at Mr Kyps. You really got us dancing with the great music. I had such a good dance. Looking forward to seeing you again! Dave Revell
Just wanted to say what a fantastic night we had down at Mr Kyps the other night. The atmosphere was great all night. Carlos, you really do sound like Santana! I couldn't beleive how close someone can get. We love Kyps, it gets better and better every time we go! Can't wait until your next visit. John and Sarah
Hello Guys I just wanted to drop you a quick note to thank you for a evening of fantastic entertainment and supreme musicianship at Mr. Kyps in Poole last Friday (06 Feb 2004). I am a regular at the club and have enjoyed many a good evening listening to the top-quality acts that Kyp and his team book. I have to say that your gig was one of the best that I have seen. Keep up the good work! Gracias! Mossy
Thanks for a great evening at The Torrington, will try and catch you guys again when your in the area. Thanks again .Sue Birley
Hey! I saw you last night at the Wharf in Tavi...u were amazing! just wanted to congratulate you on a fantastic gig.I was the girl stood right at the front .Hadn't heard much Santana before but but the latin-rock rhythms have me hooked. you are the best band that i've ever seen! i was soooo impressed! i think it's great that you are able to introduce young people to Santana`smusic. Each of you completely inpsired me with your individual talents and know you will have done the same for many other people too. you certainly don't need to be a tribute band! please come back sometime real soon! i look forward to seeing you again...viva vivasantana. R

WOW what can I say thanks, great, brill fantastic, worth every penny and MORE well done to each and every one of you for a brilliant evenings entertainment and this comes from the wife of a life long fan of Carlos we have travelled the length and breath of the country but there you guys were on our doorstep this evening - thanks to a crimbo present from our sons girlfriend has she earned brownie points or what! Sarah and Mike Renshaw
Great web-site and fantastic show!! I saw you last night 24/1/04 at The Wharf Tavistock for the first time and for me it was the closest I will get to seeing Santana. Great sound and musicianship all round that had at the audience dancing to those latin-rock rythyms. Hope you will return to the wilds of the WestCountry again soon....Chris Carter
The venue's electrical fire during the sound check must have been a signal for the start of the band's highly charged Xmas Party at Rayners. It was great to see everyone enjoying themselves and the whole set was a showcase for the band's spirited playing, enthusiasm and good humour. A memorable night and a superb start to the festivities, with the whole of the crowd still applauding and cheering for more at midnight. All the best for 2004 and thanks for your music through 2003. Bexley
OH MY GOD i never thought i would hear anyone else even sounding remotely like the latin guitar god but i have been proved wrong. Congratulations for an amazing sound and i hope to hear from you soon regarding a possible gig in scotland. Keep on jammin guys and good luckFrazer, Scotland
A long journey and a biting chill in the air did not deter us from coming to catch your show at the Club Havana in St Albans on Saturday. We were rewarded by an evening of real enthusiasm from both the stage and the audience. It was a real treat to get not only the popular numbers, but also some excellent rarities from the Santana songbook. There was a great sense of a ‘family’ with everyone evidently having a good time, as well as helping the fund raising for the National Deaf Children’s Society. Thanks for show.Vikki Roberts
Absolutely outstanding gig last night at the Oysterfleet, Canvey. So close to the original sound, fantastic live set - the word will spread for the next time! See you at Club Riga in December!Johnny Layton
Great gig at Riga on 2nd August (even better than March), can't wait for the next! From the dancing girls at the front...Liz Austin
Saturday 2 August . . . . what a glorious day . . . . the best of summer, soaked in sunshine, plus the best of entertainment with an evening soaked in Santana. The heat linger in the air in the Riga and was destined to grow heavier as the band took the stage. As the temperature outside began to fall gently, the band built on the heat and anticipation inside, the temperature rose until the air conditioning gave up, the crowd gave out with the applause and Viva Santana progressively drove the whole place to a pulsating, hand-waving and enthusiastic crescendo that left them and the club dripping. The sultry heat, the sensual rhythm of 'The Healer' and the seductive exchanges between the vocals and the guitar were a real highlight. Thanks for a memorable night . . . . the music was (as ever) great, the enthusiasm evident, and the collective talent of the band unquestionable. Hope you all enjoy your well earned summer break. Regards Dee & Dennis
Thanks for a great night of music at the Amphitheatre,SOUTH SHIELDS.Although it started to rain towards the end,I certainly didn't feel any drops due to the welcome distractions of the band's infectious beat and an almost hypnotic version of "JINGO" which simply compelled the crowd to indulge in bailando instead of running for cover. The Santana sound never fails to give me the goosebumps,so i have to congratulate you's on acheiving exactly that!Mickey Conway
Hi Just to say that last night's gig was great. It is the first time my husband and I have seen the band and you were even better than we expected. Shame about the rain but we were impressed that there was a big turnout of people to see you and everyone seemed to enjoy themselves. Hope you got to see some of Newcastle while you were here, its a great place, and we are keeping our fingers crossed that you are able to come up this way again sometime. Sharon & Steve Oliver , Northumberland
well Guy's first of all well done, a fantastic band, so like the real thing. Saw you in person at Andy Little's 40th Birthday 'Festiball' u were just great Graeme Berry
Hi Guys we caught your gig at the amphitheatre south shields last night shame about the weather and the rain during the last two numbers. but we stayed to the end and thouroughly enjoyed your music and everything that went with it to make it a truly remarkable show and a credit to the original by bringing to the people of south shields a truly great tribute to santana the music and vocals where magnificent. Jo & Val Bell ,South Shields
Excellent show, unbelievable at times...at the rayners...can't wait for the return to the rayners for the next showand the next after that and the next after that...and i'll make sure all my friends are informed well in advance..... and now....totally viva-santana'ised ! ...please..please...next time can i take some photographs for my personal collection....Philip Fernandes
I just saw your videos of She's not there and black magic woman. You sound great! I am a guitar player in Los Angeles, Ca. USA and I was wondring what pedals you're using or how you are going about to get your sound. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Good luck and keep on playing.Jose Reyes Los Angeles .USA
What a sensational night at the Torrington. One of those classic evenings where everything came together and both the band and the audience clearly had a great time. Thanks for the birthday message(s) for Shirley. She was one of the many who saw you at our bash and she decided to bring a dozen party friends all the way from the depths of Essex to the Torrington and they are all now confirmed Viva Santana fans. I bet that's the first time the audience has done the conga at one of your gigs!!! Everyone had such a great time, they are planning to come and see you again at the Riga. See you then. P.S. Enjoyed 'The Healer'.Dennis Roberts
My name is Yuji. I am Japanese amateur guitarist.I like Santana sound very much since Woodstock(1969). I heard Sample music of VivaSantana and was impressed very much. Hello. sorry it's taken a while but many thanks for playing 'she's not there' for my wife at the flowerpot. it made her night and i was awed by your sound. the whole band were magnificent but to hear carlos almost as if he was on stage was unbelievable. you have a special talent, hope to see you soon.Roy Wetton,Derby
It's George the young fellow who watched you at the boom club on 28 March. Like to say a big thanks for letting me and my friend play some extra percussion with you on stage on Jingo. Also a big thanks for a great evening which is what I really needed on A friday night after school by hearing a great Santana band which gets better every time I see you guys. I never new that there would be a Really good santana trib band who could get the sound as close as possible to the real thing. Keep up with the fantastic work and hope to see you guys soon. All the best, George
Nice to see something different - from one guitar god to another keep up the good work Carlos !!! ED
Hi, I'd just like to let you know that I attended last night's gig in Sutton and thought that you were ABSOLUTELY fantastic! I have listened to Santana since I was 11 years old after being introduced inadvertantly by my Mother and they rank as one of my favourite bands of all time. You guys are awesome and deserve your far-reaching reputation. You are the nearest thing to the real deal and long may you keep playing. Can't wait to see you again. Respectfully yours Nic, Nic Constantinides
Happy to discover this website. I'm from the Philippines and a pure blooded Santana fan since Woodstock 69. Too bad have not seen him in person ever since in my life.My place is as poor as Carlos' hometown. But we play good Santana music with our Timbales,Bongos,Guiros,Kabasas, maracas, castanets and shakers lifting our spirits high blending with mother nature. thanks Rey Antonio Q. Tiongco Philippines
Just a few lines to say what a great night we had last night. it was a joy to see the music played with such enthusiasm and it was obvious how much you love playing it. also many thanks for dedicating 'shes not there' to my wife who was totally suprised and it was a fantastic version. thanks again. we hope you will return sometime. hope to see you Roy & Karen Wetton
Superb night at the Club Havana(8-3-03). I've seen Santana a few times but VivaSantana was as close to the real thing as possible. A great atmosphere, brilliant music, what a night!Neal White
Hello Viva Santana My name is Johnny and I am from Torornto Canada. I just wanted to say as a fellow brother in a Santana tribute to keep up the great work and spread Carlos Santana's music. As you know when we play Santana's music the crowds age range is from 4yrs to 80 yrs old. This mans music really does touch us all. I see you went to Germany and that must have been fantastic. We will be going to New York in the summer and can't wait. Peace brothers and lets keep in touch. Johnny Ramsden Toronto. Canada.
I have been a Santana fan since 1971, I have been fortunate enough to see Santana 3 time. I was totally amazed at how good VivaSanatana are. I really enjoyed myself and had a wonderful night listening to really great music. I didn't think anyone could sound that close to the original. If I had shut my eyes at times it could easily have been the real Carlos Santana playing. Thanks for a fun night out. Ant Wilson, Dunstable, Beds
Hi I really enjoyed your show at the Cheese & Grain in Frome on 18th Oct. Don't leave it too long before you come back down this way. I have been a huge Santana fan for many years - the first time I saw them was 30 years ago - with around 20 more gigs since. This was the first time I have seen Santana played by someone else, and it could not have been better. Really nice to hear some of the classics which Carlos himself hasn't played live for years. Till the next time.... John . K . Hannah
Thank you for a great night at the Cheese & Grain Frome! from the Mum of the "dancing children"...we all had a really good time. Hello, my name is Steven and I am 9 years old. I was the little boy with long curly blond hairs standing in front of the stage with my parents on Heimatfest in Mettmann. I am so happy that Marcos gave me his plectron after the gig. Further I have to say that I loved the music and on next day I asked my father to play his Santana music I never heard before. Thank you very much for this great experience and best wishes. If possible please send me your autographs . I am looking forward to your next concert near my home and I hope not to miss it. Thanx a lot. Steven Wellmann , Mettmann ,Germany
I have seen your concert on the heimatfest in mettmann yesterday. All of you are really brilliant, but especially Mr. Rodriguez. I' ve never seen a guitarist with so much soul, feeling and fate on the guitar. It has really spelled me and I would like to thank you all for that great experience of latin sound and a perfect played guitar. Moreover I wish you all the best for the futere with a lot of respect Martin ,Germany

Hi, my name is cesar legazpy. i'm a 21 yr old guitarist from las cruces, nm. i have been playing know for about 4 yrs and i am totally hooked on santanas sound. i play for my church and for this band from ruidoso, nm.(to small for you to know where it's at) my uncle julio got me into santana when i was 17 and thanks to that first time i heard him, i knew what i wanted to do for the rest of my life. well, the reason why i i'm emailing is because i have been having alittle trouble getting just the right santana sound. i understand that effect pedals and techniques are an essential part, but i recently realized that it is more about feeling. if there is some way that you could please send me some tips(amp settings, guitar pickup settings, effects pedals that u use, etc.) i would really appreciate it. you guys are the closest i have heard to carlos and i think it is really good what you guys are doing. spirituality and tradition have alot to do w/ my style. . my grandfather was a classical guitarist from chiapas, mexico and that is were most of my influence came from. if you have time in your busy schedule please send me a response. thanx again. dios les bendiga, Cesar Legazpy , Las Cruces , New Mexico
